Ladakh Emergency Disaster Appeal

Many of you will have heard the news already that recent torrential rain in Ladakh has caused much damage and loss of life. You can read more about this on His Holiness's blog on www.drukpa.org (Tomorrow Is Too Late) in which His Holiness explains the importance of Ladakh to himself personally and also to the Drukpa Lineage. We have also received the following press release from Pel Drukpa Charitable Trust,  which gives a graphic description of the current situation.

Drukpa Paris and Drukpa Humanitarian France, on behalf of Live to Love France, is mounting an appeal for funds to help the victims of the disaster in Ladakh. Funds raised will be sent to Ladakh via His Holiness's charity in Delhi, the Gyalwang Drukpa Charitable Trust.

Our L2L Relief Team head by Jigme Jampal will visit Delhi and Ladakh this week to assess the situation.  We would like to organize and understand the situation better before sending any volunteers on site to help.
