In December 2011, His Holiness took 450 people on such a journey for the 5th time. Unlike previous foot journeys where the pilgrims walked through the mountainous regions of the Himalayas, crossing passes as high as 5,600m, this time they walked from Mumbai, the financial capital of India and the capital of Maharashtra state to Sanchi Stupa via Ajanta Ellora.
